TreatGut Pharmaceutical Group–Shandong University Collaboration Series and Microecological Medicine Symposium Successfully Concludes

On July 3, 2025, the TreatGut Pharmaceutical Group–Shandong University Collaboration Series and Microecological Medicine Symposium was held at TreatGut Pharmaceutical Group headquarters.

The event focused on integrating industry, academia, and research in gut microecology and accelerating innovative translation. Academic experts, government representatives, and industry leaders from the Institute of Microbiology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua University, Shandong University, the Baoshan District Science and Technology Commission, Dachang Town, Nanda Group, and Lingang Nanda witnessed the launch of a jointly established laboratory. Participants discussed clinical applications and the development of microecological medicine, demonstrating a model for deep industry–academia–research collaboration and creating a high-level platform for technological advancement and coordinated development.

03 Frontier Academic Presentations

New insights and interdisciplinary innovation

Leading scholars from Tsinghua University, Shandong University, and other institutions delivered presentations on frontier research.

05 Conclusion

The symposium created a valuable platform for collaboration across industry, academia, and research in gut microecology. By focusing on gut microbiota–neural–immune interactions, novel probiotic discovery, the launch of the joint laboratory, and its first major project, the event strengthened the exchange of ideas between academia and industry and supported the translation of innovative technologies and the development of precision medicine.

TreatGut Pharmaceutical Group demonstrated its mature microbiota transplantation technology platforms and industrial translation capabilities, while Shandong University contributed its research strength and talent base in microbiology and life sciences. Their Joint Gut Microbiota Laboratory represents a complementary partnership between two strong organizations.

The laboratory will integrate basic research, technology innovation, and industrial translation to establish an efficient industry–academia–research–application model. The partners will address key scientific questions and technical bottlenecks in gut microbiota research, accelerate the delivery of innovation to public health, and contribute TreatGut–Shandong University expertise to the advancement of microecological medicine.
